So many mistruths have been propogated by the media and the opposing party. It's easier for people to believe what they say because it fits what the media says - "adoption is a loving sacrifice," and we all trust that what the courts rule follows the law and the greater good. To understand this tragedy, you must open your heart and mind, and re-examine the beliefs we all want to hold as true.

Adoption may be necessary for some women or couples, but in a vast number of cases, it simply is child trafficking. The adoption attorneys will tell you it's a business and the non-consenting parent is an adversary who they seek to mislead. Conflicts of interest are not disclosed. Evidence does not necessarily have to support the court's decision. They will tell you that the other home is better and you are making a loving sacrifice. They will assure you that you will always be their mother and be in their lives as well. Little of that is true in many cases of voluntary termination.

States receive funds by placing children from foster care into a permanent home. Those adopting receive tax credits. Adoption of infants is promoted and the campaign is funded by our tax dollars. Yet, these funds could be much better spent on services for children and promoting their adoption. There are many more children than infants in foster care, and infants are more in demand.

Ironically, at the time this ordeal began, there were a half million children in foster homes, and a member of their own family in need of a home. Yet, the Needhams refused to return my children to me. They were not registered with an agency or pursuing adoption. They just saw an opportunity - a vulnerable mom in need of help. They testified that they felt selfish having more children when there were so many in need.




Adoption entities have been known to place a child in foster care for a few days just to make a few extra dollars. Reports of these professionals double dipping on medical care have recently surfaced. It's simple, charge the adopting couple for medical expenses for the mother's pregnancy, but do not deduct the amount covered by Medicaid or insurance.

As is evident in my case, judges are buying into this scam by not enforcing the law. Anyone - legal professional or non - who is privy to the details of this case, is outraged by what has transpired. Who would have guessed that in the US, you could lose your children when you are ill and not competent to make a decision.

"Judicial ethics typically require judges to uphold the integrity and
independence of the judiciary, avoid even the appearance of
impropriety, and perform their duties impartially."

The best interests of my children were never considered, nor were our constitutional rights to be a family. By this, the courts are condoning and promoting child trafficking.

So what did the courts do in response to Dr. Day's expert statement? Reduced my visitation. What did the Needhams do? Stood me up for visitation.

What happened to the twins? They exhibited signs of failing to thrive. At 18 months,Tyler was only 11th percentile on the growth charts for weight. Holly was only 36th percentile for weight. Also, the children were missing developmental milestones. They should have been speaking 4 to 6 words but didn’t have any words. I was very concerned, very upset and very frightened.

So how is all of this in the best interests of my children? It's not, yet that is what the law requires the courts consider above all else?

It is the intent of the Legislature that in every adoption, the best interest of the child should govern and be of foremost concern in the court's determination. FL ST § 63.082(2)
